The mission of Lutheran Women\u2019s Missionary League\u2013Canada, Inc. (LWMLC Inc.) is to equip, motivate and encourage women to GROW in God\u2019s Word, SHARE God\u2019s Son and SERVE God\u2019s people.<\/p>\n
At St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church, we meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 1:30pm at the church from September through to June. All women are invited to attend \u2013 please join us!<\/p>\n
Our Goals are to significantly increase women\u2019s participation in God\u2019s Word; to develop relationships among women; and to assist women in developing skills to confidently carry out the mission of the Church.\n<\/p>\n
We are Called to Serve (Deuteronomy 10:12) as Jesus served. We encourage women to reach out to others in our community, across our nation and internationally, through activities such as service projects for those in need, mission projects, fundraising and offerings. \u201cCalled to serve the Lord we love, Gifted by His hand above. Called to serve, Lord, may we be, Faithful servants all for Thee\u201d. (Chorus of LWMLC Inc.\u2019s official theme hymn).<\/i> <\/p>\n
To fund and support our chosen mission projects, voted on at each National Convention, we regularly collect funds called \u201cMITES\u201d (based on the Biblical story of the widow\u2019s mite, Luke 21:1-4 KJV). They allow the contributors, through the national body of LWML-Canada Inc., to provide mission grants which assist others in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to implement the LWMLC Inc. program.<\/p>\n
