We provide practical tools and techniques that help adults achieve<br \/>\nrespectful, healthy relationships with their children and help them prepare their kids for the real<br \/>\nworld. All of our work is based on a psychologically sound parenting and teaching philosophy called<br \/>\nLove and Logic.<\/p>\n<p>Back by popular demand, Love and Logic is returning to Vernon once again. Over 400+<br \/>\nfamilies in the Vernon community have been encouraged by this course. The course will be<br \/>\nfacilitated by Joel Haberstock B.Ed., M.Sc., (Family Minister, Teacher), and Jodie Haberstock, B.Ed.<br \/>\n(Teacher, Parent Educator). This program is sponsored by St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church.<br \/>\nClasses will be held starting February 3rd, 2026 at St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church &#8211; 6525 Okanagan Landing Road.<\/p>\n<h4>LEARN HOW TO&#8230;<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Put an end to arguing, back talk and begging.<\/li>\n<li>Teach responsibility without losing their love.<\/li>\n<li>Set limits without waging war.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid power struggles.<\/li>\n<li>Guide kids to own and solve their problems.<\/li>\n<li>Teach kids to complete chores without reminders and without pay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Registration Information<\/h4>\n<p>Registration is closed.  Please check back for future course sessions in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Love allows children to grow through their mistakes. Logic allows them to live with the consequences of their choices. (for kids aged 5,8,10)<\/li>\n<li>I enjoyed the laughter, bringing humour back into parenting.<\/li>\n<li>This course has helped me parent confidently, but even more so has given my daughter a new found confidence and man do we ever have a lot more fun together.<\/li>\n<li>A quote we both like: \u201cWe help each other because we love each other and we need each other.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s ok not to know what to do\/how to respond to a situation immediately and ok to come back to it.<br \/>\nThe greatest part of the Love and Logic course was being reminded to come from a place of empathy again and again. It\u2019s impacted all areas of our lives.<\/li>\n<li>We have been able to stop the arguing in our house&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Anything I pick up I keep,&#8221; has helped with cleanup.<\/li>\n<li>Empathy has changed the tone of our house in such a good way.<\/li>\n<li>I have been using it at school and \u201cthrew\u201d the problem back at the kid to solve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Love &#038; Logic Registration now open!
