St. John’s Eagles Slo-Pitch Team
History of the Eagles
The Eagles have a long held tradition of having a group prayer before each game followed by “Go Eagles!” and more recently calling, “Kaaa-Kaaa!” as the ferocious Eagles the players are. The team is built on love for each other, a bond where we lift each other up, cheer together, cry together, and praise the Lord together!
Notable Achievement
The Eagles most notable recent achievement is winning the 2025 ABC Slo-Pitch Tournament held in Golden, BC. The Eagles look forward to defending their title win this coming year!
Who Are We and Membership
The 2026 Spring Slo-Pitch season is underway. The roster is locked in and $40 needs to be e-transferred to church@stjohnsvernon.ca to play on the Eagle’s Team. Please ensure payment is made or participation on the Eagle’s team will be revoked.

Upcoming Events
- Revelstoke Lutheran Annual Slo-Pitch Tournament Aug 7th-9th, 2026
- Skills competition comprising of throwing accuracy, batting distance, and base running to begin around 6pm August 7th. Round robin tournament play occurs August 8th. with the finals occurring on Aug 9th followed by a potluck dinner Sunday evening.
- St. Johns Hosting the Concession at Revelstoke Lutheran Annual Slo-Pitch Tournament Aug 7th-9th, 2026
- St. Johns is running the concession stand at this year’s ABC Slo-Pitch tournament in Revelstoke. St. Johns is looking for volunteers and cooks to make this years concession the best ever in the history of the tournament!
